Workcover Claims

If you are claiming your physiotherapy treatment through Workcover, please be aware of our practice policy outlined below:

BodyMotion Physiotherapy – Workcover claims Policy – From June 2018 – PLEASE NOTE: Our full private fee must be paid and you will then need to claim it back from Workcover or your employer.

Unfortunately you’ve been injured at work and you need Physiotherapy treatment to assist you to recover. What happens now?

Please firstly be aware that until you reach the “excess” amount for a WorkCover claim (unless your employer has a ‘buy out’ policy’) you will be responsible for paying for your Physiotherapy treatments. You can then claim these payments directly from your employer or Workcover.

Your employer or Workcover insurer may tell you that we can bill them directly, but we no longer do this. If you are not happy with this arrangement, please let us know and we can speak with you about it in more detail.

If you wish to claim your physiotherapy session through Workcover, you must tell us before you schedule your appointment.

Workcover obligations

Once you have met your excess, we are required to submit a Physiotherapy Management Plan to your WorkCover insurance agency. You will be asked to complete a number of “Outcome Measures” which we will provide to you and talk to you about further.
