COVID-19 Update
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING LOCKDOWNS
Please note that you are required to wear a face mask at our practice for your appointment unless you have a lawful exemption.
During lockdowns, Physiotherapy has been deemed to be an essential health service so BodyMotion Physiotherapy remains open. However, additional guidelines have been put in place by DHHS in regards to clarifying how urgent treatment is. This is aimed to reduce travel within the community and ultimately stop the spread of COVID-19.
When you arrive at our practice for face to face appointments you will be required to sign the the following declaration before your treatment:
- I can confirm that I have not had any COVID-19 symptoms over the past 14 days (fever, cough, cold/flu symptoms, sore throat, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell etc).
- I can confirm that I have not tested positive for COVID-19 and that I am not awaiting COVID-19 test results .
- I can confirm that I am not a close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case or someone awaiting COVID-19 test results.
YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO CHOOSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- I can confirm that a delay in treatment would cause significant detriment to my day to day functioning, independence and quality of life (this could include the ability to care for children, elderly parents, people with disabilities etc).
- I can confirm that a delay in treatment is likely to cause an escalation in my need for further care (for example needing to see a GP or specialist about your condition).
- I can confirm that a delay in treatment will cause me to present to the emergency department.
PLEASE NOTE: If you can’t see the appointment time you need & you would like to go on our wait list, please call the practice on (03) 9873 3333.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Unfortunately some myotherapy and ALL remedial massage appointments are not available during lockdowns.
Please don’t book an appointment if you have:
- A Fever [Temperature]
- A Sore Throat
- A Cough
- Shortness of Breath
- Flu like symptoms
- Had close contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having coronavirus in the 14 days before getting sick
- Traveled overseas within the past 14 days
Please note: Although it is unlikely you have contracted COVID-19, we have high-risk patients visiting our practice. Depending on your circumstances, you may like to consider booking in for a TeleHealth phone consultation (physiotherapy sessions only).
